The increasing volume of citation processing in many courts continues to impact productivity gains even in sophisticated case management systems. New technology has helped law enforcement handling the issuing of citations to defendants; however processing the volumes through the court continues to be painful. iJCourt™ provides for a seamlessly integrated to electronic ticketing technology such as Advanced Public Safety’s (APS). The solution is a web-based interface for law enforcement, prosecutors, and public defenders to enter the citations, attach any supporting documents (.pdf, .jpeg, .tiff, .word, .wav, .mp3, .avi, etc.) and submit the citation electronically for review and processing and pass that information into the case management system as appropriate.
The solution provides the capability to request any additional information from the law enforcement and be able to notify (by email) once the requested information is received. The solution also provides status updates to law enforcement at different stages of submission. Citations can be filed electronically with the iJCourt™ or any court case management system. The data will be exchanged in NIEM (National Information Exchange Model) format. The benefits include:
