The direction being pursued by agencies involved with integrated criminal justice are focused on implementing solutions that provide for e-Filing. iJCourt™ takes e-Filing to the next level and integrates it into the case management system, providing benefits to all agencies touching the system. The Integrated e-Filing solution is a web-based interface for the different agencies (law enforcement, prosecutors, public defenders, etc.) to enter the complaint, citations, warrant requests, evidence requests, and lab result requests, etc., attach any supporting documents (.pdf, .jpeg, .tiff, .word, .wav, .mp3, .avi, etc.) and submit the forms or requests electronically for review and approval and pass that information back to the provider and into the case management system as appropriate.
The solution provides the capability to request any additional information from the originating agency and be able to notify (by email) once the requested information is received. The solution also provides status updates to the originating agency at different stages of submission. Representative status updates include; new requests, approvals, rejections, requirements for more information, new updates received, requests filed with the courts, etc.
Once approved, the requests can be filed electronically with the iJCourt™ or any court case management system. The data will be exchanged in NIEM (National Information Exchange Model) format.
